SHANGHAI pics

This is my third time trying to upload the pics...hope nothing happens! (por pi por pi), now every five pictures i upload i'm gonna click the 'save as draft'!

As i was typing the other time...i decided to post the pics i've got with me now while waiting for the others to arrive HAHA...so here goes! and enjoy :)

Day one, arrival at ShangHai International Airport (9th April 2007)...we all look pretty tired though, the first thing everyone did once we reached was to sms or call home!

First stop was to HangZhou, this is what i saw on the way there...overhead bridge with escalators!! how come we don't have that in Singapore?

This is our hotel in HangZhou...looks scary right! well, it really is manz...you'll know why later. (btw, this hotel is beside a hospital -_- what a location)

Before going to out rooms, our tour guide warned us that the rooms are not made yet...i didn't expect to see this though...wth is on the table?! and they have pictures of girls in bikini in the room...

See! so messy leh...and quite gross also...!! there's this massage parlor almost directly opposite me and yh's room...! Just when we thought that nothing worse can happen, guess what we saw!

Murder case in the hotel!!! so damn scary...and murderer on the loose!! how can right!!! the notice was there to like warn us to be careful...after discovering the notice, we were all so afraid, we went "sleep in the lobby ah" and "call and tell the teacher" and "don't sleep la"! HAHAHA...but really, the few nights we were there, we were so exhausted when returned to our rooms, too tired to have scary thoughts...all of us slept our rooms HAHA! (i'll tell you what we did at night later)

After settling down, we went to visit WAHAHA Corporate! The company is not as funny as its name, it's actually pretty huge! WAHAHA is like the China version of F&N! serious...and hmm they have their very own coke, called "fei chang ke le" or "非常可乐". The brand started out with this guy selling nutritional drinks for kids on a bicycle! Plus, they have cool spokesperson like wang lee hong!

This is like a display room, of all their products and the company's history, motto, business process etc etc...nice huh!

We were all allowed to pick a complimentary drink from the shelves! so i took that! cute right...i thought since WAHAHA started out with kids drink, it would be good to try the kids one :) taste good, like a mixture of yoghurt, fruit and milk drink!

At the beautiful outside of the WAHAHA factory...oh ya, we visited the plants, to see how the drinks are packed and all! way cool...but can't take pictures...so yea!

After dinner, we went to watch this super cool china style show in this "xi hu zhi ye" theatre! The theatre is just next to xi hu....very nice place! The show is super nice too, it's like a combination of alot of ancient shows, including "liang shan bo and zhu ying tai" plus! alot of great stunts and music...

Grand opening...the uncle infront of me just refuse to lean back throughout the show...argh!

After watching the show, we went shopping around the area! check out pizza hut in chinese!

Starbucks's unisex toilet!

This is our night time must visit site! just outside the hotel...3 very unique roadside stalls you can never find in Singapore! each stick of the bbq thing cost only 50 cents RMB! it's like you choose what kind of things you want then they will bbq it for you...with seasoning and all! very very nice :) I ate hmm, nian gao, dou gan, mushroom, lotus, potato...yea (corn is not nice though...their corn taste different from the ones in Singapore)

BBQ auntie and me :) she is super nice, she lets me warm my hands above her bbq thing!

This is the "guo bing" uncle...the guo bing comes is 3 flavours, chilli, salted and sweet...very very nice!! it's similar to roti prata...but is the white hard kind...then inside got filling...very nice like "cai por"!

Back from Shanghai!

I'm back from Shanghai!!! reached home yesterday...at around hmm....10 plus or 11 pm...can't remember, bought quite alot of stuff, t-shirts, shoes, bags, tea leaves, jade, fan, pen, necklaces...etc etc

The trip was super fun i must say, travelling with your friends is definitely better than travelling with a group of strangers...we did a lot of dumb things together and ask a lot of weird questions, and it doesn't matter if we're being laughed at, cause we're all together.

My bargaining power improved quite a lot since day 1 in Hang Zhou hahaha...by day 7 we're all already bargaining experts (very thick skin).

I had a lot of fun, and i even made friends with people from Shanghai Sifan University :) cool huh!

I'll blog soon again, after i get all the pics from the rest...so do look forward for the next post!

SHANGHAI!

I'm leaving for Shanghai for real!!!! no more counting down...well, actually i'll not fly until tomorrow morning (0055) HAHA...

I'll definitely miss everyone here! and of course...the food! Mummy bought extra 4 packets of vicks for me, and this new "pi ba gao" sweet haha plus a bottle of woods, for my not so good throat :) and i had barley today to "qu re", taste good! Home made barley still rocks manz!

Mummy is so funny, yesterday i was having dinner, and she asked me questions NON STOP! every one mouth i take i answer one question..."passport got bring?", "remember huh, the bag must put infront", "cough medicine wanna buy the big one?", "go back to hotel faster bathe"....etc etc, it went on for about an hour!!! then i asked her "mummy why you keep asking me, i can't eat" HAHA...then she say "ni yi ge ren chu qu leh" !!! hahaha

Well you might have noticed that i added this new ipod player in my blog :) dun look very good i must say, but hey...songs nice can liao la, i'll do something about the player when i'm back! so till then, just enjoy the songs (10 songs altogether, press the arrow)...all very nice!

Lonesome 2: do take care of yourselves huh HAHAHA...dun go on secret outings without zhu shun and me! HAHAHA jk...

Er jie: don't put your stuff on my bed huh! i got spycam in the room...and don't touch my stuff!

Da jie: hahaha you want the grade A 'LV' HAHAHA LOL, ok la, i know you don't support fake branded...

Lucky: better be a good boy...i'll be home soon! miss you brother :)

Ondeh ondeh~~

Why izzit everytime i post an entry firefox quits unexpectedly!!! ARGH...i'd retype 6576573445358768768756535435967217843 blog entries....

Dun feel like typing anymore, so i'll just go straight to the point! today mummy made ondeh ondeh...taste real good, made of sweet potato...not eb's leg, taste even better when it's cold...yup, i couldn't resist and ate the cold one :)

Lonesome 4

Yesterday lonesome 4 went out for the 5th time :) andy (aka bamboo shoot/zhu shun) and i went back to coffee club in the afternoon to get our pay...and pick sweet potato from "school" at the same time HAHAHA...after that we met out with serene (aka...lotus/lian oh) for lunch at "din tai fung" so nice...the chopstick wrapper got "how to eat pao" instruction! ah shit...i lost the wrapper...anywayz, food is nice! Later in the day, we went to vivo to catch "stomp the yard" together with 4 other girls...brian white looks damn nice manz!

Today the lonesome 4 went out for the 6th time, shopping around bugis to see if there's anything to buy for shanghai...when i reached bugis i found out that there's a jolin signature session!!! gosh...i didn't get to see her :(

I bought a mint lip balm from body shop...smells good and clean HAHA, we also went to sim lim square, and and and!!! i bought a 2 gb memory card for just 67 bucks!!!!!!!!!! cool huh...

After dinner we went to ji de chi...woah, the peanut paste is very nice! if you ever try it...remember to add ginko nuts...

Pack pack...

Yesterday the lonesome 4 went out together for the 4th time :) [first was to marina, second to watch deathnote 2, third to ikea and jurong] ! in the morning, serene and i went to tpy kbox hahaha...was really fun! and after that we met out with the other lonesome 2 to search for annice's birthday present. In the end, we bought her a hello kitty make up set thing...hmm, i think it's really nice...hope she likes it too! I'm no hello kitty fan so i wasn't tempted to buy it...well if it's a 'me melody' one i think i will buy HAHA...i almost bought the pouch thing, but serene said "don't waste money" hahaha....

After we got the present, we went down to downtown east chalet :) hmm ate a plate of bee hoon, an otah and watched the last episode of the 9pm show! the old guy didn't die, and the ending is like this family portrait style thing....not very nice! after the show we went to play abit of arcade...long time no play!

Today i went back to shang to get my pay...at last!!! and after that i went home to start packing my room...ok shelf to be exact...the plan was to pack the room, but i was just too tired, plus i kept sneezing while packing! so have to call for half time...continue tomorrow :)

While packing, i found A LOT of funny and interesting stuff...check out the pictures!

Then there's this other entry about my dog 'snoopy' and another one about my pet 'kokaboora'...quite funny, my sister said maybe the extra 2 are them~~maybe...

this is my home econs exam recipe!!! i got kinda high for that :)

and this...is a mini booklet i made for my class before graduating from RGPS!

last but not least....i gotta clarify this manz, if you read my er jie's blog...i am not weird! click on the picture and read it! the scenario is "death of a parent of a friend"...so ya, hmm not that weird to go to the funeral or rather wake right?! stupid er jie...

Flyers day 2!

Well, today is my second day of work at TianPo...andy and i managed to give out the flyers quite quickly...after that we collected our pay and went to explore amk once again.

Before work, we went to eat at the bubble tea place (forgot the name, it's some taiwan food place) i went there with hui, shaung and sabby the other time! got the very nice tom yam guo tiao (but it's not as nice now), and andy had dan dan mian...and we ordered seafood tofu as our side dish...taste like fishcake -_-" hahaha...but the hot drinks are nice manz!!! for pple like us...who cannot drink cold stuff..."go to that restaurant and get yourself a nice cup of something!!!" andy had hot...i repeat hot strawberry red tea! cool huh...i ordered hot milk tea with grass jelly :)

Oh yea...guess who we ran into while giving out flyers? hahaha we saw chee yong!!! and his friend! quite funny...

Hmm...what else, after work we went to walk around and shun bian see if we can find anything for annice...if not HAHAHA we'll have to buy an orange ribbon for andy (jk jk...eh andy dun fume haha)! Do you know that there's this mini far east in amk? cool right...i also visited the beads store, the pots and pans place...and almost every other part of amk!

We went to "sticky rice" for dinner...the waiter is kinda gay hahahHAHA and he told us they ran out of hot water...so can only give us cold water! so weird right!!! and when andy ask the guy if the green curry contains chicken...he sai no, then andy ask "got meat?" then he said "ya", then andy said "what meat?" he said "chicken" !!!! lame manz....

That's about all for today...hmm, check out the picture below, andy said "button all up look more si wen" hahahHAHAHA then more pple will take the flyers!!! funny....we both appeared in polo T today, so it's POLO-T-DAY...hahahaha...ok, not funny.
