About Those Treats...
Well Andy and i were given some really great treatsS recently...
I'll start off with the Marriott Hotel stay given by my da jie! Service was excellent...but i guess that is expected of a 5 star hotel :)
Anywayz, here's our room...

A view from the main door...toilet and closet on the right, everything else in front.

The toilet!

Another view hahaha

The closet...the bathrobe kept me warm throughout the night haha

The TV area...

The beds....it is super soft and nice! ans smooth!!! and i love the size...it's like bigger than a single bed but slightly smaller than a queen size! just nice...

And that is Andy....

And moi ~~~

We went to walk around in town and had our dinner at the super yummy rabbit brand seafood place! "one set G please" (just thinking about it makes me salivate) Oh! and i bought my very first set of tarot cards for beginners...like finally!!! and we da bao KFC and chippy back to the hotel and then spent our night yan jiu-ing the tarot cards and watching spongebob! haha
Oh! the picture above is the swimming pool...situated on the 5th floor of the hotel, it's really beautiful, but it was a pity we didn't get to swim cause it kept raining.

Here's a clearer picture of the pool :)

This is the pool side restaurant "Pool Grill"...

So this is the whole place...before we left, we visited the pool again and people were preparing for their solemnization...there were roses everywhere and all! quite cool...(but it was still raining)

And i must mention the breakfast buffet!!!!! we woke up late so we were left with less than half and hour to finish our meal. There were so so so much to choose from, from cereals, to fruits, to fruit juicesss to fried noodles, to dim sum, to fried eggs, to pastries, to porridge etc etc etc American breakfast, Cantonese breakfast, Singaporean breakfast....you name it they have it!!!

Oh and i took a picture of the table dressing in the lobby before we left the hotel...quite cute!
Thank you da jie for the treat! it felt how it was like living in town for 2 days...is like i do my marketing in tangs and have my supper at far east! hahaha super fun...

Then this other day, we were given a treat by my uncle to The R*public of Sing*pore Y*cht Club for French Gourmet dinner at Br*dge R*staurant!

Cause we arrived earlier then the dinner starts...so we were invited to this little cocktail session outside the restaurant...where they offered finger food, including salmon, eel, mushroom and tuna...all done up nicely of course. I was only brave enough for the mushroom haha...

This is the restaurant

It was a 5 course dinner, and these are the knifes we will be using for allthe main course...

And the forks. Notice the scroll there, it is actually a certificate cum menu! The chef actually signs on it and it explains the dishes you will be savoring for the night!

My cert and moi....

Andy :D

First dish came:
Milkshake de Maïs
Thon Rouge PinmentéBalsamique Réduit
(Milkshake of Corn with Tartar of Tuna & Balsamic Sauce)Well under the lighting i thought those were tomatoes...until Andy tried it and until we saw the menu!!!! i ate one small piece...and...let's just say it's not to my liking. I can't break it...it won't melt...i just have to swallow it...

Well we were so lucky we were given bread!!!!! i was so afraid, i squeeze as many tuna bits i could on the bread and shove it to andy as soon as the chef is not looking (we were seated right infront of the kitchen)

Well, everything summarized into this picture...

Poor Andy kept shoving raw tuna into his mouth...cause we are expected to finish it! Is like when the waiter sees that you are almost done or that your plate is empty then only they will come and clear your plate away...then only the next dish will be prepared. And the friendly chef kept looking out at us, and smiling......

Second dish...
Foie Gras Poêlé / Pommes Fruit(Pan Seared Foie Gras with Roasted Apples & Truffles)the dish we awaited for the whole evening! It tasted really really really good!!! melts in your mouth and lets a special roasted taste linger in your mouth....ya~~~ not a very professional description...but ya.

Third dish!
Œuf Mollet / Aspereges(Soft Boiled Eggs with Asparagus)
I didn't really enjoy this one...cause i personally feel that the cream sauce is too....strong. Not sure if that's the word, but ya....together with the half boil egg, they tasted really bad for me...i took a bite and gave the rest of the egg to Andy...without the chef knowing :) I ate the asparagus though....draining the sauce at the dent of the plate (refer to above picture) i told Andy that there is a reason the plate is shaped like that. If only they gave dark soy sauce...then you'll see my eat it ya kun style! (hey...i am Singaporean after all)

Oh check out the salt and pepper holder...! 2 in 1

Forth dish
Volaille de Bresse / Jenues Légumes en Cocotte
(Spring Chicken with Garden Vegetables)I LOVE the sweet potatoes on top!!!! so crispy and sweet!

The most normal and probably my favourite dish for the night haha...

See...here is where we are seated....!!!

Can see everyone...everyone can see us!

Here's the chef...talking to some customers, shaking hands and drinking wine and exchanging business cards.

Last dish...
Ananas Rôtis / Mascarpone à la Vanille Bourbon(Roasted Pineapples with Mascarpone Cheese and Vanilla Sauce)
I enjoyed the dessert totally!!! The red and yellow syrup are strawberry and mango!!! super nice can~~~

This is a view of the bar outside the restaurant from downstairs haha!

And that's the bill for the night...
Have to thank my uncle for the generous treat, it was a great experience! and of course...with very exciting and delicious food :)
